Full names of bride and groom
Divya Tandon (now Divya Singh) and Kunwar Mrityunjay Pratap Singh
We met
We met in 2006 and have been dating for last 12 years!
Our wedding theme/colours
Our wedding theme was all white decor with red LED’s to add that extra effect. It had to be something that adds to the Royal Rajput Wedding. To that effect, we chose traditional red for my lehenga and beige and red for the groom.
My dress
I bought my wedding outfit from Asiana Couture, New Delhi and I must say there is no store better than Asiana for you Big Day. They are best in the market and there is absolutely no doubt about it!!
My hair and make up
Ali Gupta dolled me up for my big day and choosing him for my wedding was a very wise decision. He understands your taste and is sure to give you a complete magical makeover!!!
His suit
Mrityunjay got his outfit from Calcutta’s In style, Lucknow. (I was bowled over when I saw him as my groom!)
Our ceremony…
There was a mehendi and cocktail night followed by wedding the next day. Amidst all this we also had Haldi and Choora ceremony which was best time to gel up with the family and of course I got time with my bridesmaids.
We chose our photographer because…
We chose Mohit Arora Productions because we liked his work. Now, after seeing our pictures and teaser videos, I know we made the best decision! Mohit and his team are really a class apart. I believe that the wedding photos are all you have for the rest of your life and the memories captured by Mohit will stay with us forever!
We chose our venue because…
We chose Chancellor Club, Lucknow because it was easily accessible for both families and, secondly, I had been visiting this place since childhood (being a club member). So it definitely held lots of memories. Needless to say, it was a perfect choice for both of us!
My favourite part of the wedding day
The wedding day is the most hectic day in a bride’s life, but finding out time amidst that chaos and talking to your husband-to-be is the most special thing. Discussing small details, be it related to outfits or about the rituals, or just calling to check if s/he has eaten-that is what really matters.
My piece of advice for other brides
Stay hydrated and take some rest before you head out for getting your makeup done.
